Story Time with Gail: All Ages

Mondays, 10:30 to 11:00 AM

On Monday mornings we will be offering a special story time with Gail for all Play Haven guests. Gail is a longtime childhood educator, teaching preschool at the JCCSF for over 20 years. No additional charge to participate. Just bring your imaginations!

Music Time with Tyler

Tuesdays, 10:30 to 11:00 AM

Tyler is the founder of Sunset KIDS, a children's music company offering interactive music classes to get kids moving, dancing, and appreciating music. Classes start with guitar based sing-alongs and offer hands-on experience with rhythm sticks, shaker eggs, and other instruments. The focus is on gross & fine motor skills, rhythm, alphabet, colors, and shapes.

Taught in Both Spanish & English.

During this class, students will sing traditional children’s songs and learn many new ones. They will have the opportunity to play with a large variety of simple instruments including tambourines, cymbals, maracas, triangles and different types of drums. Students will also interact with puppets, use rhythm sticks, bean bags and streamers. Many of the activities in this class will promote cognitive development through the use of numbers, colors, shapes and letters.

Music & Movement with JAMaROO Kids

Thursdays, 3:40 to 4:10 PM

During this class, students will sing traditional children’s songs and learn many new ones. They will have the opportunity to play with a large variety of simple instruments including tambourines, cymbals, maracas, triangles and different types of drums. Students will also interact with puppets, use rhythm sticks, bean bags and streamers. Many of the activities in this class will promote cognitive development through the use of numbers, colors, shapes and letters.

Date Night Drop-Off: Friday, September 14th

Enjoy some well-deserved time away while your little ones have a fun-filled evening with us! We'll have all our creative play activities, a special art project, games, and story time. Plus we’ll be providing a Pizza dinner with fruits & veggies (included in the price).

All Date Night events are staffed with current/former preschool teachers with at least 6+ years of teaching experience.

Spanish for Toddlers (SF Spanish)

Fridays, 10:00 to 10:30 AM

SF Spanish has over 20 years of experience helping people of all ages and backgrounds learn about Spanish language and cultures from around the world.

The Spanish for Toddlers class teaches basic Spanish to children at the very point they are first learning language. Children will be exposed to Spanish through songs and simple activities. Classes are fun throughout the learning process, using art, song, dance, simple cooking and mixed media in Spanish.

Classes are 30 minutes long and capped at 10 children per class. Please note that Drop-in spots are sometimes available, but we encourage advanced sign-up to guarantee a spot.

Parent Workshops (with Parent Educator Mechele Pruitt)

Positive Discipline: Wednesday, September 26th 6:00-7:30

Come join us as we explore the key components to Positive Discipline for young children. We will identify parenting styles, explore the impact of family history on how we parent and walk away with a new tool box that you can use every day to connect with your child and be the parent you want to be. Choosing a Preschool: Tuesday, October 23rd 6:00-7:30

Feeling overwhelmed with how to pick a preschool?
